Malik Jackson Headed to South Florida

So, Malik Jackson is on his way out of Denver. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. Jackson is headed down to jacksonville, and reuniting with fellow former bronco Julius Thomas. It's been reported that the deal is for 6 years and is worth $90 million. Dude got PAID! 15 mil a year following the first season where he started more than 5 games? The crazy thing is, that he only had 5 sacks this year, thats not even his career high (6 sacks in 2013). Not to mention the fact that he was playing in the best situation imaginable. Don't get me wrong, Malik Jackson is a fantastic football player, a real Impact player and i think he will do well in jacksonville. But, my oh my is that going to be a transition. Going from the most talented defense in the NFL to a team made up of young guys trying to figure it out and older guys that just cant play. Would I love for Malik to remain a bronco? OF COURSE. Would i pay him 15 mil to stay? NOT A CHANCE. Good Luck Malik, you will be missed.

Avalanche Aquire Mikkel Boedker

Exciting news out of Avalanche camp this afternoon, as the Avs acquired 26 year old former top-ten pick, forward Mikkel Boedker from Arizona for Alex Tanguay and prospects Conner Bleakley and Kyle Wood.

I love this move. Yeah, its a shame to see Tanguay go. Tanguay is a hometown guy that was around back in the stanley cup years and made his way back to colorado after a stint with Calgary. as great as it wouldve been to see him finish out his career in denver, this move is great for what the avs are trying to do right now. Boedker is a good young forward that can keep up with guys like mackinnon and duchene and allow them to use their skill to put the puck in the god damn net, which for some reason has been like pulling teeth lately. Great Move, Lets Go get the cup!
